One of the most common blocks people face in accomplishing their goals is the worry about what others might think of your choices, behaviors or talents. How often have you stopped doing something because you didn’t want to look foolish or be picked on by someone else? This is a limiting thought that can be easily changed if you start to focus on what you are doing in the moment and forget what others are thinking about it, you will enjoy life a whole lot more and find success as well. There are several simple reasons that this is true.
Constantly people are faced with challenges and situations which always give them a key experience or understanding that they need to accomplish a goal or create something that never could have been accomplished without it. Did you make choices about your actions or was it your destiny?
One of the things that all people can do is think. Some of us do a better job than others at this skill but we all do create thousands of thoughts each and every day. In all of this thought creation, it is fun to look at how the brain actually works. We can only hold one thought in our mind at a time, the tenor of that thought is going to affect us through a chemical reaction in the brain, so how you think can literally affect your health and quality of life.
What do you wish you spent more time doing five years ago?
Life can go through a lot of twists and turns in the course of five years, I have changed jobs, moved, and changed my entire outlook on life.
To look back it is kind of amazing that so many experiences came to me in such a short time but they did.
Here is what I wish I had spent my time doing five years ago.
Once I looked at life and only wanted the good things in my experience. I think everyone would feel the same way, no sadness, no loss or grief, just happy things that are easy to deal with, yet we all know that life is not going to come as easily as that. We all must go through some difficult times and I think that is OK because you will never appreciate the good in life unless there is the opposite aspect to compare it to. There is always a flip side.
Being Confident In Life Is a Choice
Confidence stems from the conscious decision to accept yourself for what you are and to not let your weaknesses rule over your strengths. Can it really be that simple? The answer is apparently a loud and emphatic YES!
Let’s face it, we are all people, and all people are constructed to have a list of strengths and weaknesses that we are born with. Everybody is in the same boat.
