How often do you really look at yourself in the mirror? Not just how your hair looks, or to shave or do some other habit of grooming, but look yourself in the eye and really see who is looking back. This is a daunting thing to do because you just may see something you didn’t expect, darkness.
Equal Parts are There
All people contain within themselves the ability to love deeply, show compassion, help their fellow-man and give completely to virtual strangers. There is also the capacity to be petty, mean-spirited, selfish, and discriminatory without too much coaxing. Read more...(901 words, 15 images, estimated 3:36 mins reading time)
It is a difficult task indeed to start to think about what you are most grateful for. Many people will say money. Some will say love. Some will say family. Some will say something else entirely.
I am thankful for all these things, but to me there is no doubt that showing your gratitude is the most important thing to do. The feeling of gratitude is important. So for me I guess the act of feeling grateful is the thing I am most grateful for today. Here is why. Read more...(529 words, 9 images, estimated 2:07 mins reading time)
Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?
I think that I have to answer this question by saying that I am doing what
I believe in because I Am sincerely searching to find what it is I do believe in and what I am doing is giving me the ability to keep looking for the right path for me.
I believe for much of my life I was settling for what I was doing, and that led ultimately to a life that was unfulfilled, unexciting and fake. Read more...(510 words, 4 images, estimated 2:02 mins reading time)

I have found this one fact pervasive throughout my life, EVERYTHING we do matters when it comes to our happiness and enjoyment of life.
Every decision that you make throughout every day of you life is a contributor to the essence of your existence. Each decision you make to support someone or to knock someone down will be reflected in your own experience.
I mean there are clues everywhere, and you might be able to figure it out, but it would have been so much easier if someone had just sat me down and told me the way things worked. That is hat this post is for, if it informs one person, then it is worth it. Read more...(1721 words, 8 images, estimated 6:53 mins reading time)
At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
By Jonathan Hilton
I have felt most passionate and alive right now, there is nothing that could top this moment in time until tomorrow!
There are many people who will look far into the distant past for this answer or maybe dream of a day in the future that might be better or more perfect but to me right here and right now is the place where I feel most passionate and alive. Creativity to me used to be a word that I thought only others could do. I never felt that I was much of an artist or a craftsman at anything at all. My art was ridiculous, by writing was atrocious and anything else I tried to make was a mockery to anything called perfection. It was with this attitude that I started this journey of creation. Shortening the space between myself and the world. Read more...(668 words, 5 images, estimated 2:40 mins reading time)
As a human being living on the Earth, you are constantly bombarded with warnings from the time you are born, until the time your life here is done. People tell you the rules, clearly and with very little gray area, what is acceptable behavior and what is not. Some were designed to keep you physically safe, but many were designed to keep you from being original, or standing out in any way. No matter who you are or where you have been, it is the roads that you have walked that have brought you to where you are and the person that you have become.

I was faced with the question today of whether or not anger is a bad thing or a good thing. It is my personal belief that anger is one of the emotions that you should avoid because it is one of the emotions that stems from fear. However being the open-minded person that I am, I am willing to look at the emotion of anger from a neutral standpoint and decide once and for all if it is desirable to be anger or not. For many people, including myself, there are times in life where we are not sure what to do next. A new situation confronts us, we have to move left or tack right, something is headed right for us! What do we do?
Now for me, either because of the way I was brought up or because I am just a very stubborn person asking anyone for help or advice is almost always out of the question because, it would reveal to the world, gasp, “I don’t know everything.” Read more...(515 words, 4 images, estimated 2:04 mins reading time)
Fire is an element that represents many things to many different people. To me, it has a symbol of purification. This is because when I looked into the fire, I saw the future ahead of me and the past was left behind.
The Significance of the Fire
There needs to be a bit more explanation than that I suppose. In life, there are people who come into your life and cause nary a ripple in the large scheme of things. Then there are those that are destined to leave a deep emotional impact, that you are destined to carry throughout your life. How much you carry is up to you. I read a great article last week about finding out what is happening on the inside. To make this more clear to get in touch with your subconscious mind, through art. She is an artist and rendered paintings, which are just wonderful. Read more...(723 words, 10 images, estimated 2:54 mins reading time)

I am not sure what other people do with their thoughts. I mean the one’s that make you adjust in your seat and know that there is power boiling there.
The potential seed that could grow into some potentially awesome writing, or a gadget the world has never seen before and may never experience if I don’t record it quickly and accurately. How is it possible that a phrase can get stuck in your head? Like a song that you wish you could stop singing in your head. The phrase is there banging to the beat of its own honesty. All you can do is think it over and over again until it inevitably expresses itself in words.
The phrase in my head I read in a glimpse, as I was watching a video on YouTube of all places. It was a fantastic video and the message was I Am, and who hasn’t contemplated what finite groups of messy things compile themselves to create their existence. I do it all the time. Why did this phrase jump out at me? Why won’t it leave my head? Read more...(779 words, 10 images, estimated 3:07 mins reading time)
I was scared to death! Petrified! White knuckle, grab a hold of something, close your eyes and scream scared of what other people would think of my writing. All People live by a code of beliefs, that are accepted over the course of their lives, based on their accepted moral code. What has worked and what has not worked in my life has led to a list of core beliefs that generally guide my day to day actions. There are days I lose my focus but I have found that getting back to the core of beliefs is a step in the right direction.

Life is such a crazy, wild, up and down ride that it can be difficult for anyone to deal with. Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason why things happen and dealing with the sudden, quick changes that are thrown at us makes it hard to understand if there is something that we should or could be doing better. I mean, in the end, shouldn’t we be happy? Shouldn’t our daily routines and struggles bring us personal satisfaction and make us feel valuable as individuals? I think that it should, and one way to do this is to practice positive thinking. Read more...(1034 words, 4 images, estimated 4:08 mins reading time)
