Breaking The Rules

I’m a Rule Breaker

As a human being living on the Earth, you are constantly bombarded with warnings from the time you are born, until the time your life here is done.  People tell you the rules, clearly and with very little gray area, what is acceptable behavior and what is not. Some were designed to keep you physically safe, but many were designed to keep you from being original, or standing out in any way.

Searching for Happiness

All of us are looking for happiness. When you look at the end result we would like to experience from all of our choices, happiness is what we hope to find. However, it seems like many people let other things get in the way of their happiness.  Anger, jealousy, worry or just plain fear grab ahold of your mind and stop you from reaching the ultimate goal of being happy in life.  It is the attachments we build to relationships, events, jobs or anything else that stop us from enjoying the experiences we have every day.

Some Of My Core Beliefs

my mind works overtime, sometimes
my mind works overtime, sometimes

All People live by a code of beliefs, that are accepted over the course of their lives, based on their accepted moral code. What has worked and what has not worked in my life has led to a list of core beliefs that generally guide my day to day actions. There are days I lose my focus but I have found that getting back to the core of beliefs is a step in the right direction.

These are ever evolving and I am editing completely but at that time this is what they were, in no particular order.

When It’s All Said and Done

When its all said and done will you have said more than you've done
Talk is Cheap!

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

I am reminded of a good friend as I struggle to answer this question,  he says so very much that it would be impossible to ever do more than he said.

However for myself, I think that the simple answer is that I strive to do more than I say.  Doesn’t everybody?

Ancient Chinese Secret

An old Chinese proverb says that “Talk doesn’t cook rice.” and I believe that is true, and actions are preferable to speaking about something.
