An individual’s greatest power is that they have the ability to analyze a situation, determine if it is beneficial to them and then taking action to enhance the current situation or to move in a new direction. Taking action is a necessary factor in any success story.
Sometimes you reach the point where things are just not working. Clearly, there needs to be a change. The path of your life is dictated at this moment. Good, bad, successful, right, or wrong all of these adjectives will be applied to your journey depending on the tenor of the choices that you make at the prospect of change. Some people will look at their circumstances and see no choices at all. There are always choices and they usually triggered by the questions that we ask ourselves about moving forward. There has to be a basic belief that life can be something different from what you are experiencing now.
Many things have stopped people from taking action life. There are dreams that people have wanted to chase that they thought about but left untested because taking action appeared just a little bit too scary or difficult. The lesson learned was clearly that no matter what a person is dreaming of accomplishing or experiencing, it can only be realized through the implementation of action, to do the thing and see what happens.
I often write in generic terms, through which I remove my emotions from the words, which makes the thoughts clearer for others to understand, but today my connection to the topic is personal, my connection to my fears. Each day there seems to be a different mix of emotions, I move from fear to bravery to fear and back again. Fear to me is a force we are all learning to deal with but my fears are much more constant and larger than I once believed. Overcoming them is the secret to moving forward in life, or more likely to move forward is overcoming my fears.
Our lives are dictated by the actions we decide to take each and every moment. I will point out the key part of that sentence, they are things that YOU DECIDE to complete. Taking actions, or lack thereof, create the reality of our lives and nothing will show the world more about one’s true character. Your consistent actions over time will more accurately describe your morals and character than anything else. Your actions tell the world what you want to be included in your life.
