From the time we are young, those figures in our lives responsible for molding our behavior seemed determined to limit us in some way.
Many of the limits were common sense, “don’t play in the traffic”, or “don’t jump your bike off that ten-foot ramp!” These warnings were clearly to keep us safe and maintain our well-being, but there were many warnings that have limited our existence. These did not have the same intent. We were told not to try one thing or another because the pain we might suffer if we failed. As we started to create our image of ourselves, we were immediately placed within the boundaries of fear. Read more...(889 words, 14 images, estimated 3:33 mins reading time)

Have you noticed that the beliefs that you cling to and carry around inside determine what your experience in life is going to be?
Over the past 10 years, I started to look at my core beliefs and have found that my programming had left me with a raft of limiting beliefs that were determining just what the outcomes of many of my experiences were going to be.
I have been carrying around a lot of things that are silly, self-defeating, demeaning and just plain wrong. It was under these conditions that I determined to see if I couldn’t change them a bit, because as I saw it until they were different nothing was going to change. “If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.”
― Albert Einstein
I have never read a quote that describes my connection to music as well as this one from Albert Einstein. As long as I can remember there has always been music in my life which has comforted me when I was down, encouraged me in life and motivated me to achieve things that I have and am accomplishing. I was faced with the question today of whether or not anger is a bad thing or a good thing. It is my personal belief that anger is one of the emotions that you should avoid because it is one of the emotions that stems from fear. However being the open-minded person that I am, I am willing to look at the emotion of anger from a neutral standpoint and decide once and for all if it is desirable to be anger or not. Each new experience with someone that we have change us on a fundamental level. Sometimes I have difficulty being creative or thinking about what things to write about. I remember fondly of the days when I could simply see a question, and quickly and easily organize my thoughts, and express my feelings about it. For much of our lives, we are continually hoping that our luck is good and it will bring us good fortune. Unfortunately, I have found over my life that there is no such thing as luck. Fire is an element that represents many things to many different people. To me, it has a symbol of purification. This is because when I looked into the fire, I saw the future ahead of me and the past was left behind.
The Significance of the Fire
There needs to be a bit more explanation than that I suppose. In life, there are people who come into your life and cause only a ripple in the large tangle of life’s experience. Then there are those that are destined to leave a deep emotional crater, that you are destined to carry in your life. How much and how long you carry it is up to you. I am not sure what other people do with their thoughts. I mean the one’s that make you adjust in your seat and know that there is power boiling there.
The potential seed that could grow into some potentially awesome writing, or a gadget the world has never seen before and may never experience if I don’t record it quickly and accurately. How is it possible that a phrase can get stuck in your head? Like a song that you wish you could stop singing in your head. The phrase is there banging to the beat of its own honesty. All you can do is think it over and over again until it inevitably expresses itself in words.
The phrase in my head I read in a glimpse, as I was watching a video on YouTube of all places. It was a fantastic video and the message was I Am, and who hasn’t contemplated what finite groups of messy things compile themselves to create their existence. I do it all the time. Why did this phrase jump out at me? Why won’t it leave my head? Read more...(779 words, 10 images, estimated 3:07 mins reading time)
I was scared to death! Petrified! White knuckle, grab a hold of something, close your eyes and scream scared of what other people would think of my writing. Many things have stopped people from taking action life. There are dreams that people have wanted to chase that they thought about but left untested because taking action appeared just a little bit too scary or difficult. Isn’t it Ironic? Bad Luck is Not Necessarily Ironic
Isn’t it ironic? I am sure that I am not the first person to take issue with Alanis Morrisette and her song Ironic. But I heard it today and have to point out once and for all, the many examples she provided of things that weren’t ironic at all.
I hope that by pointing these out in detail, people will understand what irony really is, and may be able to identify it in their own lives.
